P&W Training Update - January 10, 2026
Read the latest update from PCVCCI.
Hello parents of piano/keyboard class!
Thank you for your support by allowing them to come every Saturday so they will progress on their piano/keyboard lessons. Thank you also for your prayers and cheerful encouragement to them.
Today, I hope they learned a lot!
First we reviewed the structure of a keyboard or a piano. It consists of several white keys and black keys. There are 61 keys all in all in the current keyboard we are using. That the black keys are grouped into 2 and 3. Yipiiiii!😅
We mentioned again that a keyboard and a piano are stringed instruments just like guitar and ukelele. We familiarize ourselves with the names of each key. C,D,E,F,G,A, B and back to C.
Then we moved on learning the names of the black keys.
Today's lesson focuses on why the black keys can be called sharps (#) or flats (b).
Then we learned how to form the major and minor chords.
Thankfully, they were able to apply these theories or concepts and they were able to play little by little the following chords:
C, Em, Am, F, G
They played their first song "Kay Buti Buti Mo Panginoon" with the chords above.
Please motivate them diligently and praise them for every little progress they make.
God bless our future keyboardists!🙏🙌
